'Offers a broad, ripe, silky palate of raspberry and blackberry fruit, laced with fruitcake, melted licorice and graphite notes. Long and well-focused, with solid grip. Drink now through 2020.'

The 2008 Les Cailloux is a blend of Grenache (70%), Mourvedre (15%), Syrah (10%) & Cinsault (5%). The grapes undergo a classic vinification over 3 weeks. After the malolactic fermentation, the wines are aged in vats and new oak casks. Andre Brunel has 60 casks, 1/3 of which are renewed each year. No filtration prior to bottling, at least two years after the harvest.
