What the Critics say
Tasted from tank after fining, the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Village is showing very well indeed, offering up notes of Anjou pear, lemon oil, white flowers and a subtle touch of hazelnut cream. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, elegant and bright with an ample attack that segues into a tense, controlled mid-palate and finish. The balance here is utterly classic.
Bernard Moreau is now working with his two sons, Alexandre and Benoît, who joined the domaine in 1995 and 1999. The estate produces wines from 13 different terroirs located around Chassagne-Montrachet. All the wines are made in order to truly express their terroir.
