This partly terraced Vineyard sits on the Hill of Ruffoli in the commune of Greve in Chianti at 500m of Altitude . Planted mostly around 1914-1918 and again after world war II with the Lamole clone of Sangiovese . The soil is a very poor Galestro with a very high content of Chalky lime stone. The wine is made today by Vittorio Fiore's Son Jurij and represents a rare and unique style of Sangiovese. The knowledge this family has about this particular sub region of the Chianti Classico is second to none and Jurij today continues his resarch to learn more about the place of Lamole, its History and way of working with vines .
