From a mix of En Charlemagne, Les Languettes, Le Corton, so all aspects are covered. Clear and bright, juicy, but a little backward on the nose, a touch of spice. Well controlled ripeness, an excellent oak integration with 25% new wood, fresher and stonier on the palate, with excellent clean white fruit flesh, pure stones with a lemon tint, and very good length. Just needs some more aromatics which will come with time.

Founded in 1965, Maison Camille Giroud is known for its traditional, long-lived Burgundies. The winery was purchased in 2002 by an American group and David Croix was made director. Croix creates textured, terroir-driven wines that are a perfect blend of tradition and modern technology. Carel Voorhuis has since taken over from David Croix in October 2016 and similarly crafts aromatic, refined wines.
