What the Critics say
The wine displays plenty of licorice, Christmas fruitcake, black currants, licorice, truffles and some espresso notes. Full-bodied, viscous and somewhat reminiscent of many 2009s, given its blast of fruit, glycerin and heady alcohol, this is a beautifully rich St.-Emilion for pleasure seekers. Don’t discount its ageability, as I am sure it has two decades ahead of it. Drink:2013-2033

Château La Dominique is located on the northwest of Saint-Emilion in a prestigious neighbourhood: Châvteau Cheval Blanc and Château Figeac flank the left side, and Château L’Evangile and Château La Conseillante rest on the Pomerol side. The 24 hectares of vineyard is planted with 86% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. Since Clément Fayat acquired it in 1969, the vineyard has been entirely replanted and restructured.
