The 2016 La Clape La Cote has outstanding potential and is another beautifully concentrated red from this team that holds onto a sense of purity and elegance. Black cherries, currants, peppery spice and leather all flow to an inky colored, full-bodied and balanced 2016 that’s going to drink nicely for 4-5 years. I suspect it will be a terrific value. The blend is 40% Grenache and 30% each of Syrah and Carignan.
