Made from a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan, the 2016 IGP Pays d’Oc le Pavillon is a full-bodied, expansive, even sexy beauty, offering terrific notes of cassis, black raspberries, spice and flowers. I love its overall balance, and it’s a joy to drink.

Dark ruby-red colour, Great complexity on the nose with notes of red ripe fruits, cassis and a touch of black pepper and spices. The palate is round and generous with silky tannins and notes of liquorice. Very long and elegant finish.

Château la Négly is a highly rated Languedoc estate that can trace its roots back to 1773. In 2001, Château started to lease the vineyards of their neighbour estate Domaine de Boède and finally acquired these vineyards in 2006. Most of their vineyards are located on the prime chalky terroir of La Clape, in sight of the Mediterranean, whose cooling breezes moderate the maturation.
