It’s rich and ripe, but not over the top, so you can have your cake and eat it too. Blackberry, crème de cassis, baking spices, violet, regional perfume of seaweed, peppermint and bayleaf. Medium to full bodied, chocolate and forest berries, spice and pencilly oak, a mass of supple fine-grained tannin that grips if you swish it around, cool integrated acidity, and a very long finish with plump fruit, cake and sweet spices. It’s still very young and frisky, yet the drinking pleasure and complexity is already there. Love the feel of the tannin, especially the firm draw of the velvet curtains as the wine closes. Touch and go for 96 points. Drink: 2018-2028+ (Oct16)

BUY 6x Morus Cabernet for a FREE MAGNUM of Domaine Naturaliste's 2013 REBUS Cabernet

Domaine Naturaliste's finest cuvee of Cabernet Sauvignon from the heart of Margaret River. A single vineyard selection of the prized “Houghton clone” planted in 1978 and then another section in 1982. These fully mature and majestic vines are some of the oldest in the region, planted by the second wave of winegrowing pioneers. The gravelly soils of the vineyard are flanked by the dominant native hard wood trees named Jarrah. Jarrah trees are a favourable and exact biological indicator that the site is ideally matched to Cabernet Sauvignon.
