The 2014 Aloxe-Corton Villages has a sense of brightness on the nose, the fruit redder than the Savigny Village with red cherries and strawberry fruit. The palate is crisp and tensile on the entry with a little more edginess than the Savigny Village, a dash of white pepper lending a little spice on the nicely structured finish. Give this a year in bottle if you can, but it is a stylish village cru.
