What the Critics say
Note: from 9 different lieux-dits
The 2015 Savigny les Beaune Village comes from around 15 different parcels, mostly but not entirely from the flatter areas of the appellation. It has an attractive bouquet of black plum and raspberry on the nose, touches of wild hedgerow emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a mixture of red and black fruit with a subtle chalky texture lending edginess on the finish, plus a dash of black pepper on the aftertaste. It should give plenty of drinking pleasure over the next 3-5 years. Drink: 2018-2024
