Monvigliero hill is known as the most prestigious single vineyard in Verduno town and is definitely one of the most symbolic of Barolo country. The vines in the vineyard have over 30 years of age, at an altitude of about 320 meters and faces south. The wine from Monvigliero are tightly wound and complex.

The Fratelli Allessandria winery, located in the heart of the Piemont region, was founded in the beginning of the 19th Century. The estate now stretches over 12 hectares over some of the best crus in Verduno and Monforte. Monvigliero is Fratelli Alessandria's premiere site. Made from 30 year old vines on 1.3ha plot with only 600 cases made annually.
