What the Critics say
‘Good crimson. Rich with hints of oak and nice subtle fruit. Silky, rich, lovely texture. Tastes much grander than it is.’ Drink from 2018.
The grapes come from the vineyards from the village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the north of the Côte de Nuits. Soil : clay and limestone. Medium slope. 100% Pinot Noir. Guyot pruning with different yearly works in the vineyard (pruning, trellising on wires/tying-in, thinning fruit-bunches).
The Gevrey Chambertin wine has high colour, is intensively aromatic, evoking blackberries and other small red and black fruits. A well built wine, combining blending tannins with abundant mellowness.
