What the Critics say
The average yield is lower than many other Hunter Valley semillons. The source block is 33yo, the cuttings coming from Tyrrell's HVD Vineyard. The '18 vintage is now settling down, with rich, layered fruit and good acidity.

24 year old Semillon vines, taken as cuttings from the oldest Semillon vineyards in the Hunter Valley.
A very different kind of Hunter Valley Semillon – less upfront citrus so typical of the region and variety. Here the palate is dominated by tropical notes and stone fruit. There is acidity, but it’s in balance and not overpowering. Lively and refreshing as a youngster, this wine has ‘age me’ written all over it – like many Glenguin Semillon vintages have shown over the years.
