What the Critics say
Bright dark red. Soil-driven scents of smoky silexminerality and iron lifted by a high note of peppery spices. Very rich, deep and powerful, with a compellingly chewy, penetrating quality to its dark raspberry and flinty mineral flavors. The wine's substantial firm tannins are perfectly supported by crushed-stone extract. A wonderfully tactile, serious Mazoyères in the making, and showing more in the early going than the more elegantly styled Charmes.
