The estate's 2011 Veneroso, a Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon blend, is endowed with a palpable sense of brightness and energy, much of it from the Sangiovese. Firmer and more structured than the Nambrot, the Veneroso could benefit from a year or two in bottle, even if it is super expressive today. Tobacco, wild flowers, herbs and sweet red cherries are laced into the finish. Drink: 2016-2026 (Sep14)
