What the Critics say
Cherry liqueur, dried herbs, five spice (heavier on the cloves), new leather. Juicy sweet fruit and the Mataro dried herb and assorted savouries, fine grained tannin, clean acidity and a plump sweet fruited finish. Shows a bit of warmth, but goes pretty well. Hearty.

Bandol in Provence, France, has long been a ‘go-to’ region of choice for Tim Smith and give inspiration for this wine.
Only a limited amount made this year due to the very low yielding vintage. 3 different vineyards made the cut; 2 from Greenock, and 1 from Light Pass. Vine age 50-114 years of age. The resultant wine is deceptively powerful and needs some air to really show its majesty. The palate is indicative of the vintage; structured and lithe-one for the cellar for sure.
