The riesling is pale straw in colour, offering a fresh and youthful nose of golden apples, with subtle mineral oil undertones. Crisp and dry, grapefruit flavours predominate, with soft acidity rounding out the palate. A great value wine! The collective work of 216 growers, Cave de Turckheim is one of the most successful co-operatives in France. Founded in 1955, Cave de Turckheim has been a guiding force in bringing clean, bright and fresh Alsatian wines into the market place. Grapes are grown in diverse soils, including limestone, granite, gravel, marl and sandstone, all of which impart different characters and styles to the overall blend of the wines.
