What the Critics say
The warm 2015 vintage in France produced very approachable wines with particularly generous, attractive, plush fruit flavours. This lovely young claret is no exception, especially now that it has spent a couple of years in the bottle. A blend of about two-thirds merlot and the rest cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc, this gorgeous plummy red is balanced by savoury flavours of earth and coffee, and a dark sour-cherry lick of complexity. Superb value.
The Vieux Naudin pays tribute to the Traver’s family ancestors who have produced generation after generation of winemakers. Grown In the heart of Saint Michel de Fronsac, the wine is a blend of 70% Merlot with the reamainder coming from Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc.
