What the Critics say
(bottled with 100 g/l residual sugar): Full gold. Flamboyant aromas of apricot nectar, orange marmalade, vanilla and ginger, with a bright mineral topnote. Big, concentrated and luscious, displaying intense pit and orchard fruit flavors and a touch of bitter citrus zest. Extremely sweet and lush but showing unlikely vivacity thanks to a bracing jolt of acidity. Finishes juicy and very long, with resonating orange and pit fruit liqueur qualities. (Mar13)

A vin liquoreux of complex style, with notes of candied fruits, honey, wax and mild spice. Ample and balanced on the palate, with a velvety sucrosity and attractive power. The botrytised or dessicated grapes are handpicked with several sorting stages from mid-October to mid-November before being pressed and left to settle. A long slow alcoholic fermented in barriques takes place during the winter. Ayguets can be drunk young, but sweet wines age well for 10 years or more.
