What the Critics say
(25% new oak) Light brilliant yellow. Meyer lemon, pear nectar, pungent flowers and a vanilla nuance on the perfumed, mineral-accented nose. Sappy orchard and pit fruit, candied ginger and honeysuckle flavors show impressive depth as well as energy and delineation. Becomes livelier and spicier with air and finishes broad and long, featuring building spiciness and a touch of smokiness. Drink: 2021-2027 (May18)

Le Lombard is rich, complex wine with a mellow nose of white blossom and hone accompainied by roasty toasted flavours. On the palate, it is fat and opulent yet balanced by the natural acidity. Le Lombard has attractive purity, with a lingering hint of bitterness on it's long finish. It is made from old vines (40 years) facing east/southeast, on the slopes of Coteau de Verlieu. This wine can be drunk for the primary aromas up to 3-4 years, but also for the secondary aromas from 6-10 years.
