"This 2022 Discovery Chardonnay is a savory, phenolic wine that leads with as much texture as it does fruit. It's a marvelous thing. You get loads of salted peach and brine alongside fennel and cumin seed, all of it shaped by textural tannins, with a nice, chalky finish."

Domaine Naturaliste is now seen as one of the top wineries in Australia. This year has seen Bruce Dukes lift even further as he continues to collect gongs around the world. “Bruce Dukes is wholly talented, and while he makes high-quality acclaimed wines for his own estate – Domaine Naturaliste. The vineyard is located next to Margaret River and has a maritime climate, intermediate to that of Bordeaux and Napa Valley. The vine roots explore the ironstone rich gravelly soil, which sits above a highly permeable ironstone cap rock, resulting in a well drained and healthy soil. It is the intersection of soil, climate and vine which provides this extraordinary fruit. Each of their wines have a distinct story to tell and are considered by Halliday to be “Examples of deep-thinking, intelligent and experienced winemakers.
