Ca' Erto Soave 2023
$26.00
Description
Made with 90% Garganega and 10% Trebbiano di Soave. Straw-yellow with golden highlights, it has an intense fruity bouquet with scents of vanilla, dried fruit and some minerality. Golden, fruity and crisp. This is Italian Garganega from the Soave region and a complete bargain. Sourced from the Classico bit of Soave, this wine is an absolute value! Grape variety is predominantly Garganega which offers a lovely golden straw colour and creamy yellow fruit. 10% Trebbiano adds some vim and vigour, and the finish is crunchy, apply and fresh. In short, it's a super all-rounder that will suit a wide spectrum of drinkers!
''There is much diversity within Soave, as they can be crisp with a fresh, fruity liveliness while others are stylistically denser and richer which adds to the texture, depth and complexities. With focused flavours that include an almond like nuttiness, minerals, citrus and occasionally a touch of tropical fruit.'' - Eric Asimov, New York Times
ABOUT CA ERTO
Soave is one of the shining stars of the Veneto region in North Eastern Italy, producing whites that are both prestigious and popular from local grapes Garganega and Trebbiano. It's a region where it is important to know your producers, there are some true gems, but, as is often the case in the world’s most renowned regions, there are some duffers! Ca'Erto is located against a backdrop of the Dolomites in the Veneto region - three generations of the Magnabosco family work the steep hills above their family-run winery. Ca Erto falls firmly into the non-duffer category, their viticulture is carefully considered, and minimal intervention and their wine making is similarly well managed. They produce a selection of wines that consistently show great typicity, high quality and superb value.
