André Roméro is the legendary wine maker, now joined by his son and nephew. These are tiny yields, the grapes are 100% hand picked and the selective picking and extraordinary vinification process would suggest a product of twice the price. Robert Parker described the estate as "The superstar of Rasteau… drop-dead delicious red wines."

    Of the 2019: "Flavors of preserved plums and black-cherry compote are accented by hints of cocoa powder, char and salty minerality here. Sourced from younger vines (10-30 years old) of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre and vinified entirely in stainless steel, it offers a similar intensity of fruit and savory nuances as prestige bottlings from this producer, but with a bit more ease for youthful enjoyment. Ready now but likely to improve through 2027 at least."
