This is as good as it gets for Australian sauvignon blanc. Big on impact and deliciousness, the palate is a web of many skeins. Vanilla wafer, grilled white peach, Greek yogurt and lemon in all forms (from preserved segments to curd). It's decadent, but there's caution at hand, so as to not trample the fruit. The 2024 blend benefits from the addition of our new estate vineyard in Basket Range. Its beautifully refined and complex Adelaide Hills Chardonnay that balances acidity, oak and powerful fruit just right.
Soils: Light loamy clay over sandstone with extensive schist & quartz rubble.
Vinification: 100% whole cluster pressed and settled in tank overnight. Racked to a mixture of French and Austrian barriques, puncheons and foudre for nine months, 20% new.
