James Suckling 93/100 "A fruity and fresh white with a creamy texture and plenty of mango and cooked-apple aromas and flavors. Framed with nice phenolics and balanced acidity. Bitter lemon. From organically grown grapes. Drink now."
The Real Review 93/100 "Mid-gold. Cinnamon oak on the nose, reticent and restrained. With coaxing, it yields honeyed citrus, papaya aromas, layers of deep spicy complexity and an undertow of minerality. The palate is moderately oaky and silky, balancing the ripe, primary fruit with a austere mineral note and smoky woodiness which follows through to the dry finish with fair length. The balance is well-managed and delivers elegance despite the barrel influence."
From the heart of Marlborough but a world apart. Handcrafted in tiny quantities for an incomparable artisan Sauvignon/Semillon 'sur lie'. Untamed, with long skin contact for complexity and texture, 'wild' barrel fermentation without any additions and 20 months on the fine lees for its famous silkiness. Dry and explosively rich, the pinnacle of a stately Sauvignon Blanc.
