    Description

This is a quality example of the genre and worthy of your interest. Ripe aromas of apple, pear and enough Chablis typicity to be persuasive leads to delicious, voluminous and punchy middle weight flavors that exude a bracing minerality and salinity on the already complex and sneaky long finish. Drink: 2028+

Domaine Séguinot-Bordet dates from 1590 and is now managed by the young Jean-François Bordet who has recently taken over from his grandfather Roger Séguinot. Most of the 16 hectares of vineyards are located on the right bank of the Serein river benefiting from a perfect south / south-east exposition. Jean-François Bordet practises coolish fermentation and allows his wines to mature for 3-5 months on their lees; this maximises the contact and promotes a luscious style to the wines. His approach is clearly contemporary, but it delivers very stylish wines which fully express both the fruit and terroir.

    What The Critics Say
A very crisp Petit Chablis from Jean-Francois Bordet with a fine texture. Although this is an appealing, fresh, early-drinking wine, there is a steely core, with tight acidity and a lingering, mineral aftertaste.

    ABOUT THIS BRAND

    Seguinot-Bordet

Domaine Séguinot-Bordet dates back to the 1590’s and is now managed by the young Jean-François Bordet who has recently taken over from his grandfather Roger Séguinot. Made in a sparkling new wine cellar, the wines are fermented and aged in horizontal temperature controlled tanks (imagine a normal wine tank laying on it’s side) to maximise lees contact.
