A traditional Portugese varietal reimagined in our McLaren Vale vineyards.
    Description

Touriga is the anchor variety in traditional Portuguese ports, but here the Exile is a zippy medium-weight style. Beautiful, youthful, vibrant florals, red fruit, black cherry. A textured palate and fresh, crunchy acid. It finishes with great length, too. ORGANIC | VEGAN FRIENDLY

    What The Critics Say
"Perfumed and abundantly fruited, though at relatively modest weight, this is fragrant with violets, iris, dark and dusky roses, along with boysenberry, mulberry and flowering rosemary and sage. There are graphite and tar/bitumen notes, plus iodine, star anise and Kampot pepper. It’s matured in old oak, adding a savoury edge, but it’s all about buoyant ease and riotous flavour. A delight."

    ABOUT THIS BRAND

    Battle Of Bosworth

5 Star Winery Award in Halliday Wine Companion 2026

Battle of Bosworth was established in 2001 by Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith on vineyards planted by Joch’s parents in the 1970’s. The wines take their name from the original Battle of Bosworth, fought on Bosworth Field, Leicestershire, England in 1485. Battle of Bosworth make wines with flavour, texture, purity and balance, that best express the unique characteristics of their McLaren Vale foothills site. Joch’s vision and commitment to organic viticulture has underpinned the success of the Bosworth Wines business, capitalising on the rising consumer interest in organics over the last two decades.

They also make the Spring Seed Wine Co range of wines, which as with the Bosworth wines, are made using organically grown grapes from our McLaren Vale vineyards. Joch likes to call it our parallel label.
