Chateau Camensac Haut Medoc 2016
$135.00
Description
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot. Bright red-ruby. Medicinal aromas of black cherry, cassis and licorice. Classically dry and cool but with good mid-palate texture and ripeness. The medicinal quality carries through to the persistent finish but the tannins avoid coming off as dry. Very successful for this estate.
Château Camensac borders on the Saint-Julien appellation, in the commune of Saint-Laurent-Médoc. The vines are located on the commune’s finest gravelly rise. The topography is fairly steep and the pebble soil quite deep. The staff at Camensac is helped in their decisions by consulting oenologist Michel Rolland.
