A brilliant Provencal Rose! Beautiful blend of 35% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, 20% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah. Fermentated in stainless steel, this Rosé is made from direct press and does not undergo malolactic fermentation. It's aged on fine lees for 6 months in stainless steel. Delicate aromas of fresh strawberries, citrus zest, and subtle floral notes. The palate reveals a crisp, refreshing acidity balanced by flavors of ripe red berries, hints of white peach, and a touch of minerality. Beautifully balanced and easy drinking.
Description
Clos Sainte Magdeleine is a prestigious winery within the Cassis AOC in Provence, known for its exceptional wines and stunning setting. The estate is celebrated for producing elegant, high-quality white and rosé, often made from Grenache and Clairette grapes. The wines are all produced from certified organic grapes grown on the estate.
A stunning fishing port on the Mediterranean, Cassis is home to 14 producers who cultivate 180 hectares of vines in an appellation which is gradually shrinking due to real estate encroachment. Clos Sainte Magdeleine has belonged to the family of Madame Sack (née Zafiropulo) since 1922 and the headquarters of this 20 hectare estate is an impressive art-deco mansion lying just below the Cap Canaille (France's tallest coastal cliff). François Sack and his son Jonathan (who is now President of AOC Cassis) are the first to admit their good fortune but still retain a sense of perspective, often being seen carrying out local deliveries by scooter which is the only way to access the crowded quayside in the summer season.

Clos Sainte Magdeleine is in one of the most beautiful parts of the Cassis appellation, with the estate overlooking the calanques. This estate has been owned by the same family for four generations and is now considered as one of the best estates in the Appellation. The wines are all produced from certified organic grapes grown on the estate. With these wines you can really feel the presence of the sea, in fact you can see the sea from all of the Clos Ste Magdeleine vineyards.
