Lots of secondary flavours making an impact with lashings of sweet and toasty, cedary oak infusing the fuller-bodied palate, soy sauce, charred radicchio, some aniseed and pops of squishy plums, too. Then firm if gritty tannins to close."

"Deep, dense colour and a waft of machine oil comes over the top of slightly vegetal/spicy, leaf litter and Ribena cordial aromas. Increasingly peppery with time in the glass. The wine is slightly uneven in its line. The intensity is lighter than expected and it falls away a little quickly. Soft, fine, gently drying tannins. A lighter bodied, more elegant and very approachable style of shiraz. This style tends to get overshadowed in the company of bigger shirazes, but it's one that grows on you and is very approachable and more-ish." - 93 Points, Huon Hooke, Shiraz
