Beautiful golden colour with golden hues. On the nose, the wine expresses a floral and fruity structure with notes of linden, acacia flowers, white peach, apricot, pineapple and mango. The palate is generous and complex from the beginning, then the wine matures to finish with flavours of white fruits and candied citrus fruits. The finish is long and persistent, with a great dry white signature.

This charming28-hectarefamily domaine sits atop a sandy, stony hill overlooking theLayon River, just10km south of the Loireand the renownedSavennièresappellation. Nowcertified organic, the estate is in the hands ofQuentin Cailleau, the third generation of theCailleau family. This isprime Chenin Blanc country, and theirClos des Sablesvineyard produces one of the domaine’s most emblematic expressions of the variety.
Hand-harvested atoptimal ripeness, the grapes undergo natural fermentation in a mix ofcasks and barrels, then rest on lees for14 months, enhancing richness and complexity.
Description
This dry Chenin Blanc is beautifully textured and exotically perfumed, with layers of pineapple, peach, and apricot lending both opulence and depth. The palate feels generous yet finely balanced, thanks to a bright, refreshing acidity that lifts the wine and carries it to a salty, mineral-driven finish. Uncomplicated yet immensely satisfying, it’s a pure, expressive Chenin offering remarkable pleasure and exceptional value.

Domaine Sauveroy
The Sauveroy Estate has been nestled in the heights of the Layon Valley in Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay in Anjou for three generations. The vineyard extends over 26 hectares. Quentin, Véronique and Pascal Cailleau, the last generations at the head of the domain, manage their vines according to the principles of organic farming, with rigor and precision. Fruit for the Cuvée Origine was sourced from Les Buissons, La Pièce Longue, La Nouette, fermented and aged in stainless steel on fine lees for 6 months before bottling
