An excellent value for a Beechworth Shiraz and has the structure to age well and will benefit from a aggressive decant or holding for further complexity. The wine shows a remarkable level of detail in the flavour and aroma profile. It is powerful and has the structure to live for many years. Good deep red with a good purple tint. Aromas of dark plum and a touch of herb. A cracking wine to drink now or hold and enjoy as some secondary notes develop the future.
Description
Domenica Estate Shiraz is grown on a southern sloping ridge of our vineyard. 2021 was a cool growing season with a long ripening window, resulting in perfectly balanced fruit. A welcome return to kind growing conditions after losing the 2020 crop. The small parcel was fermented in concrete before ageing in French barrique. The wine shows a remarkable level of detail in the flavour and aroma profile. It is powerful and has the structure to live for many years.

The wine is medium-full bodied and very intense, with concentrated flavour underpinned by ample but gentle tannins and concluding with prodigious length. A cracking shiraz of great energy and vitality. And amazing value for money!"

ABOUT THIS BRAND
Domenica
Domenica is the project Peter Graham, who worked for 13 years with the top winery in Beechworth. The 4 hectares vineyard is located six kilometres south west of Beechworth, adjacent to the renowned Warner vineyard, at an altitude of around 550 metres. The soil is granitic, and the exposure is varied, from steep southerly slopes for the chardonnay, to a gentler north easterly aspect for the marsanne, roussanne.
We offer free shipping to most of Australia for all orders over $199 or $12 flat rate for orders under. Some regional areas may incur an extra shipping charge which is calculated at checkout based on your postcode.
