    Description

Envínate La Santa de Úrsula is a vivid, volcanic expression of Tenerife’s northeast coast, and a newer, exciting addition to the Envínate lineup.

Sourced from La Carujera in the Tacoronte-Acentejo appellation, it blends fruit from three parcels of 100+ year-old vines rooted in sandy clay over red basalt, between 350 and 650 metres above sea level.

The wine is led by Listán Negro around and Negramoll with a splash of Listán Blanco, partially whole-cluster fermented in cement and aged in small neutral oak. It’s energetic and precise, showing fresh red fruit, smoky mineral depth, dried herbs and a savoury, Atlantic-tinged finish.

    What The Critics Say
The 2024 La Santa de Úrsula has to be the finest vintage for this red from the zone of Tacoronte-Acentejo, and this year, it breaks down to 77% Listán Negro, 20% Negramoll and 3% Listán Blanco. There was a fire in the zone in 2023, and 2024 was dry and healthy—it's a humid zone that's prone to illnesses—with a good yield (10% less than in 2023) and balance. The wine has a perfumed nose, with high aromatic intensity and the spiciness that is so classical here, with depth and complexity. It comes in at 12% alcohol, with a pH of 3.33 and 6.18 grams of acidity. It has a medium-bodied palate with fine tannins, and it is stony and serious, with more elegance and finesse, like an improved version of 2021. 5,700 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2025.

In the Canary Islands, particularly Tenerife, the team works with old, ungrafted vines of indigenous varieties growing on steep volcanic slopes shaped by the Atlantic climate. Guided by minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar, Envínate produces distinctive wines that faithfully reflect their origin, celebrated for their purity, freshness and profound sense of place.
