Rare fruit, truly special wine – there’s hardly any cool climate Sangiovese in WA and this is made from those rarest of rare, 30 year old vines. Fervor is passionate about their Italian (Tuscan) ancestry and this wine pays homage to their grandfather, Nonno Luciano. Vibrant fruit character, savoury tannins. Yum.
Description
Nonno Lou is named after Callum's grandfather who unfortunately passed away in October of 2023 2 months before this wine was bottled. This was the first of these namesake wines that unfortunately Nonno Luciano was not able to savour and enjoy. But I can say with my heart that he would have loved it. This wine honours his Tuscan background (from Lucca). Or though it is not made with grapes originating from Tuscany it is in a style that Lou loved a beautiful drink. The words on the back "My Nonno Luciano - My Super Tuscan". A lover of big and beautiful Italian Reds, he loved his family, he loved fiercely and he was always there with a wink and a smile ready.

"Crikey! This has some mettle. Bright yet pale garnet colour. It does freshness, crisp edges, juicy red fruit, woody spices, sooty savoury elements, grippy tannin and all of that bundled up in an energetic and refreshing frame. There's a very effortless, bright feel to this wine overall, a huge sense of drinkability and a hands-off but considered approach to winemaking. Just so. And utterly delicious. It could take a light chill, too. Proper. Drink 2026-2029"

Fervor is a wine label from a father and son team based on opposite sides of the country - Mike and Callum Garland. Since 1996 Mike has been making cool climate wines in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia. The aim with Fervor is to draw connections from all the great people we've met during our journey - have some fun and make some really great wines.
We offer free shipping to most of Australia for all orders over $199 or $12 flat rate for orders under. Some regional areas may incur an extra shipping charge which is calculated at checkout based on your postcode.
