95 Points, Andy Howard MW, Decanter Magazine, Feb 2025 "Thierry Richoux is considered the best producer of Irancy, and has now been joined by sons Gabin and Félix. This is a spectacular example of the potential for Pinot Noir in Irancy. The palate is chock- full of vibrant, sweet, red berry fruit with a hint of mushroom and forest floor in the background. Brimming with purity, freshness and concentration. In a blind tasting this could easily be a youthful example (say 2022) from a top site in the Côte d'Or. But it's from Kimmeridgian clay in the cool climate of the Yonne, aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks and 14 months in oak barrels. Joyous Pinot Noir and remarkable value for money with plenty of stuffing for further ageing. Organic. Drinking: NOW - 2035"

Certified Biodynamic. 92 Points, Neal Martin Vinous.com, Nov 2021 - “The 2019 Irancy conveys a sense of joy on the nose, where vivid red cherries intermix with raspberry preserve, rose petal and light blueberry scents. The oak is very well assimilated. The palate is silky-smooth, almost satiny in texture, framing the crisp red berries, brown spices and black truffle aromas. It fans out wonderfully on the finish, completing a competent and very delicious Irancy that should give 10 years of drinking pleasure. Irancy Burgundy. Drink: 2022-2035”

The Richoux family has been growing grapes in the picturesque village since 1610 Irancy. Brothers Gabin and Felix, the 11th generation, have 20 hectares of (kimmeridgian) vineyards spread across the entire appellation. The Richoux's are also one of the only producers in the appellation who work organically and biodynamically, a real challenge in this northern and often inhospitable climate. They received their official biodynamic certification from the 2021 harvest year.
