98 Points, James Suckling, June 2024 "A remarkable Hermitage white, dense, voluptuous, suave and impeccably balanced. The nose offers baking lemons, white peaches, quince peels, blanched almonds, bergamot and delicate spices. Medium-bodied with such patina. It's refined, harmonious, balanced and effortless. There is a vivid core of baked lemons at the center mingling with wild herbs. It's vibrant, textural and intense on the mid-palate. Long, vibrant finish that lasts for minutes. Drink or hold."
Marc Sorrel took over the Sorrel Domaine from his father in 1982. While he was thrown headfirst into the deep end after his father’s death Marc has managed to create a brand that can consider itself to be an outstanding producer of refined, traditional Hermitage wines. Marc is a fierce traditionalist and his philosophy is non-interventionist, which is reflected in the style of wine he makes – full, well structured and long lived.
