    ABOUT THIS BRAND

    Stanton & Killeen

Stanton & Killeen is one of six Muscat houses in the world to produce all four tiers of the Muscat of Rutherglen classification with each tier showing a distinctive flavour and level of complexity. Stanton & Killeen is one of Australia’s oldest family-owned wineries with a strong reputation for blending the old with the new. The team at Stanton & Killeen continue the legacy of producing award winning barrel-aged fortifieds and vintage fortifieds as well as having fun with 14 different grape varieties, of which half are Portuguese. The cellar door in Rutherglen offers an exciting mix of rare and unusual wines including sparkling tempranillo, arinto and alvarinho and old favourites such as shiraz, durif, muscat and topaque.

The business is owned and run by 7th-generation vigneron Natasha Killeen and her mother and CEO, Wendy Killeen. Fortifieds are a strong focus for the winery with around half of its production dedicated to this style. Their vineyards comprise 14 varieties, including 7 Portuguese cultivars used for both fortified and table wine production. A vineyard rejuvenation program has been implemented since '14, focusing on sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
