    ABOUT THIS BRAND

    Stonegarden

Premium Ale by renowned winemaker Ben Radford. Born from Barossa Earth.

In the heart of the Barossa Valley, where ancient soils breathe life into vines and heritage runs as deep as the bedrock, something unexpected took root - not a grape, but a grain. Grown on a single, windswept plot of land, where sandy loams meet quartz ridges and red-brown earth warms under the South Australian sun, this barley was never meant to be ordinary. Like vineyards and wine, barley takes on the nuances of the place it was grown.

It was harvested and malted using progressive small batch equipment and brewed slowly. Fermentation was completed with the judicious addition of hops to ensure it reflected the Barley and the land it was grown.

What emerged is our Stonegarden Single-Origin Ale—a limited, terroir-driven expression of the Barossa, unlike anything else. Brewed with barley from one site, one soil type, and one season, the ale was bottle-conditioned in 750ml sparkling wine bottles and sealed under cork—just like the méthode traditionelle sparkling wines. No additives. No crafty trends. Just time, patience, and provenance.
