This wine has a rebellious and tenacious spirit, friendly and boisterous. Like a man who has lived many experiences that have opened his mind and soul, and now feels free to be. Vivera Etna Rosso is a wine that speaks to you with simple but carefully chosen words, just like its grapes are selected and its meticulous workmanship.
SOIL TYPE: Volcanic soil with abundant rounded stones
ALTITUDE: 600 metres above sea level
CLIMATE: Mountain climate with crisp summer and great difference in temperature between morning and night
TRAINING SYSTEM: Vertical trellis, spur pruned cordon
PLANTING DENSITY PER ACRE: 2.800
HARVEST: Meticulous grape selection, hand picked up of Nerello Mascalese the last week of September
PRODUCTION TECHNIQUE: The grapes are carefully selected and gently harvested by hand. After fermentation of the grapes at controlled temperatures of 79°-84°F for 9 days, the wine matures in stainless steel tank on fine lees for 16 months. Prior to its release, it is refined in bottle for an additional 1 month.

100% certified organic, Vivera winery is based in Linguaglossa, on Mount Etna - one of the most fascinating and magical places in Sicily. In 2019, Loredana Viveratook over the family winery in the Martinella district ("Cru Martinella") of Mount Etna, on the north-eastern side of the volcano. She realized her dream to bring in the winery and in her wines the Sicilian culture together with the beauty of Sicilian nature and the majesty of the volcano.
