"The Peglidis Vineyard is in Watervale (Clare Valley) and is situated at 450 meters above sea level. The vines are planted in loam/limestone. I love the succulent 2022 acidity! This 2022 Peglidis Vineyard Watervale Riesling is fiercely intense and layered with lime flesh, pink grapefruit, green apples (Granny Smith, right before they're ripe) and ginger flower. Awesome. The minerality creeps in through the very long finish. I wrote this entire note off a single sip and took only a second to confirm it. It's a brilliant wine. Wines by KT is a privately owned and operated small winery based in the Watervale district of the Clare Valley in South Australia, specialising in Riesling and also creating Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. All the wines by KT are made from small, lovingly cared for parcels of fruit from dry grown, organically or biodynamically farmed vineyards in the 5452 area and have traditional techniques used in their creation. KT is winemaker Kerri Thompson. Kerri uses lovingly grown grapes from sustainably cared for vineyards to produce exciting wines that express the unique beauty of the region. She graduated with a degree in oenology from Roseworthy Agricultural College in 1993, and thereafter made wine in McLaren Vale,Tuscany, Beaujolais and the Clare Valley, becoming well known as the Leasingham winemaker in the Clare Valley.
