The Thanisch family's winemaking tradition in the Mosel Valley stretches back to 1636, and this Bernkasteler Riesling Kabinett reflects centuries of expertise on the region's steep slate slopes. Lime, lemon zest and green apple meet white flowers on the nose, while a light, focused palate of crisp orchard fruit and citrus leads to a clean finish with a hint of slate.

Founded in 1650, Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch is one of the Mosel’s great historic estates, with more than 370 years of Riesling heritage. Today it is led by Sofia Thanisch and her daughter Christina, the 11th and 12th generations of the family. Their vineyards, including the celebrated Berncasteler Doctor, Lay, Graben and Badstube, are rooted in the weathered grey slate of Bernkastel. The estate is a VDP member and works exclusively with Riesling, making wines of finesse, mineral precision and extraordinary longevity, from delicate Kabinett to luscious Auslese.
We offer free shipping to most of Australia for all orders over $249 or $15 flat rate for orders under. Some states and regional areas may incur an extra shipping charge.
