Purchased as wine since 2017, this clayey, stony terroir symbolizes all the power of a Grand Cru that needs a few years to express its full flavour and aromatic potential. After 20 months of aging in barrels, 30% of which are new.
Of the 2022: "This is also quite firmly reduced and unreadable. The succulent, round and decidedly punchy medium-bodied flavors deliver equally good persistence on the youthfully austere, powerful and slightly warm finale. Domaine Hubert & Laurent Lignier is a renowned family-run wine estate located in Morey-Saint-Denis, within Burgundy's esteemed Côte de Nuits region. With roots dating back to 1880, the domaine has been passed down through five generations, currently managed by Hubert Lignier and his son Laurent. Together, they oversee approximately 9 hectares of vineyards, primarily in Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Chambolle-Musigny, with additional holdings in Nuits-Saint-Georges and Pommard. The estate is celebrated for producing wines of remarkable concentration, depth, and structure, achieved through traditional winemaking practices and a commitment to organic viticulture, certified since 2016.
