95 Points, James Suckling, Apr 2025 "Scented, refined and seductive, this shows preserved lemons, white peaches, fennel and some yellow flowers. Medium-bodied, it has fresh acidity, silky texture and incredible touch on the palate with a dense, flavorful and mineral finish. Good length. Made of 90% marsanne and 10% roussanne. Drink or hold."

90% Marsanne, 10% Roussanne. 45 hl/ha. Aged 20 months in oak. Cask sample. Dense, generous with delicious fruit. Ample and full on the palate, with balancing freshness as well. Some ageing potential but will be appealing as soon as bottled.

Marc Sorrel
Marc Sorrel took over the Sorrel Domaine from his father in 1982. While he was thrown headfirst into the deep end after his father’s death Marc has managed to create a brand that can consider itself to be an outstanding producer of refined, traditional Hermitage wines. Marc is a fierce traditionalist and his philosophy is non-interventionist, which is reflected in the style of wine he makes – full, well structured and long lived.
