For the Arbois Savagnin,the fruit is grown of grey and iridescent blue marlstone from the old time Bajocian era (Lias and Triassic).The wine is a full expression of the Savagnin grape in all its varietal aspects. A very lively wine. Very special wine. 100% Savagnin. On the nose, varnish and enamel. On the palate, warm and intense, citrus and caramel. It changes completely after 30 minutes on opening, leaving citrus aromas. Charismatic, its nose offers notes of ripe fruits, bergamot and citrus zest. On the palate, it's a powerful wine with plenty of volume, offering an aromatic palate where the fruity, sappy notes meet to give an exceptional tasting experience!

Domaine Rijckaert
The Domain Rijckaert was created in 1998 by Jean Rijckaert, a passionate Belgian established as a wine producer in Burgundy since 1990. Nowadays, in addition to 4 ha in South Burgundy, the domaine cultivates 5,5 ha of vineyards in the Jura where Jean felt in love of outstanding terroirs. Thus, there are two cellars: one at Davayé (South Burgundy, near Mâcon), one at Les Planches, near Arbois in the Jura. The Maison RIJCKAERT also purchases fine grapes from all Burgundy vineyards, vinificated with the same precision and the same savoir-faire as its own vineyards. In 2013, Jean decided to gradually pass the torch of his passion on to Florent Rouve and also pass down the “savoir-faire” that have made the reputation of his wines: restricted yields, manual harvesting, slow and moderate pressings, indigenous floras, long wine aging and, ...some precious secrets! A careful and natural winemaking, which aims to express the typicality of the grape and the specificity of the terroir where it comes from.
