From two parcels from around the village of Morey-Saint-Denis totalling 0.94ha one planted in 1998 the other in 1968.

"A very pretty nose of mostly red berries and soft earth nuances lead to vibrant, if not especially dense, flavors that exude a bracing salinity on the clean, delicious and balanced finale. This well-made effort should drink well young but could also repay a few years of keeping as well. Drink from 2026+."

    ABOUT THIS BRAND

    Domaine Perrot-Minot

Nestled in the heart of Burgundy, Domaine Perrot-Minot stands as a benchmark of precision, heritage, and finesse. With roots stretching deep into the storied soils of the Côte de Nuits, the domaine crafts wines that capture both the purity of terroir and the quiet power of tradition.

"Christophe Perrot-Minot started picking on 9th September, following a strict green harvest, with also his usual very strict sorting to remove over-ripe, under-ripe, or otherwise undesirable grapes. The overall yield averaged 40 hl/ha, with the highest degree registering 13.7%, and adequate acidities rebalanced by the rain. He vinified with 40% whole bunch vinification throughout, and when I tasted the wines were still all in barrel, without racking.

If I have understood correctly, Christophe has dispensed with his cuvée names for wines with blended vineyards (eg Justice des Seuvrées for Gevrey-Chambertin) now. Brilliant wines once again, very polished but with such depth of flavour and harmony."
