Description
93-95 Points Robert Parker Wine Advocate "From sandy soils in the Courthezon sector of the appellation, the 2021 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Saintes Vierges is a blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Counoise and 10% Mourvèdre. Delicately perfumed with scents of roses, cherries and raspberries, it's an elegant, medium to full-bodied CdP, with a silky, crisp and lingering finish. Drink 2023 - 2035"
The first single vineyard the estate settled in the appellation of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The old Grenache vines, along with Mourvèdre and Counoise, have a penchant for the finesse and lightness of these sandy soils situated in the southwester part of the appellation. Hand picked grapes undergo very stringent sorting in the winery before a short and soft maceration. The wine is then put into bigs casks and terracotta jars before bottling.
