    Description

This highly-rated cuvee is a reflection of all Santa Duc's locations in Gigondas. 75% Grenache, 13% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 2% Cinsault. The grape varieties of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault are grown on alluvial soils, red and blue clay, as well as marl lime. Each terroir contributes to the overall picture with its character. Typically characterised by fresh fruits and floral aromas, it will develop a bouquet of exotic spices after a few years in the cellar.

Top-rated 93-95 Points Vinous.com "Lurid ruby color. There are ripe red fruit, flora, incense and exotic spice qualities on the expansive, mineral-accented nose. Juicy, polished and alluringly sweet, this Gigondas displays seamless texture to its intense Chambord, cherry-cola, lavender pastille and Asian spice flavors, which convey a suave blend of power and delicacy. The mineral and floral notes carry through a strikingly long, precise finish that's given shape by delicate, well-knit tannins. Raised in a combination of Stockinger oak foudres and clay amphoras."
