    Description

Our second Ale originates from the northeastern corner of the Barossa region. Grown on the Deep Loam over Red Clay soils near Dutton.

94 Points, Nick Ryan The Australian Weekend Magazine "Sourced from deep loams over red clay in the Barossa’s far northeast. Burnished and muscular. Clove-studded oranges and roasted nuts, salted caramel smeared on toasted brioche. It’s fleshy and curvaceous, mouth-filling and really expressive. A fine, pithy bitterness to finish."

    Description

Our second Ale originates from the northeastern corner of the Barossa region. Grown on the Deep Loam over Red Clay soils near Dutton.

The same malting treatment, hops, brewing method and yeast were used to create this Ale as our Central Barossa Valley Single Origin Ale, thus highlighting its one-of-a-kind terroir.

We are starting to head into mallee country here and the annual average rainfall is amongst the lowest in the Barossa Valley. The season and terroir have produced a dark golden broody Ale delivering wafts of toasted almond and star anise with a hint of molasses. What the nose promises the palate delivers, rich and round with a long finish that coats your mouth with sweet bread dough, burned caramel, dark chocolate and dried orange zest. Like comfort food this ale renders you calm and satisfied, poising you for another sip.

    ABOUT THIS BRAND

    Stonegarden

Stonegarden is a single vineyard in Eden valley that was planted 160 years ago – the vineyard has been tended organically for the last decade and the wines are made by Ben Radford who has been in charge at Rockford for 20 years. These wines are from a hidden part of Australian history and the wines that
speak of their place in the world and in time. The vines are ancient, the yields are puny and there is not a lot available.
