Domaine Raoul Gautherin & Fils is a historic, family-run estate in Chablis, Burgundy. Established by Raoul in the late 1950s, the estate traces its rich winemaking heritage back to 1585. Today, Adrien Gautherin and his father, Alain, manage the 16.5-hectare vineyard. Based in the heart of Chablis, the Gautherin family crafts expressive Chardonnay from vineyards across Petit Chablis, Chablis, Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations. 

Combining traditional winemaking with meticulous vineyard management, the estate is renowned for producing elegant, mineral-driven wines that beautifully reflect the region's unique Kimmeridgian limestone soils. Each wine showcases the purity, precision and age-worthy character that have made Chablis one of the world's most celebrated white wine regions.

As Gautherin remarked himself, they are both traditional and modern in style, clearly tailoring each cuvée’s élevage to what is deemed necessary to reach the desired standard. Their Les Lys and Mont de Milieu were my pick of the Premier Crus, even if the latter is their tiniest label of just 2,000 bottles. Amongst their Grand Crus, seek out their outstanding Vaudésirs that play with a clever reduction on the nose and then let the palate really translate the nuances of that climat." - Neal Martin
