"The 2023 Chablis Vaudésirs Grand Cru is one of Gautherin's strongest cuvées and that is no different this year. It has a brilliant crystalline purity on the nose that outshines the Les Clos. This is razor-sharp, which is some achievement given the warmth of the summer. The palate is likewise built around a silver thread of acidity. It's intense, powerful, linear and electric on the finish. I served a glass to my dad, who rarely drinks wine. "That's one of the best wines I have ever drunk," he remarked. And it probably was... Domaine Raoul Gautherin
Domaine Raoul Gautherin & Fils is a historic, family-run estate in Chablis, Burgundy. Established by Raoul in the late 1950s, the estate traces its rich winemaking heritage back to 1585. Today, Adrien Gautherin and his father, Alain, manage the 16.5-hectare vineyard. They are known for crafting pure, mineral-driven Chardonnays that perfectly reflect the region's unique soils.
